When I started out in BG, I used to make the deuce with 64. My logic was it couldn't possibly be all that much worse than the 3P which I was happy to make with a 53.

All the then good players told me how bad the play was so I stopped making it and started to split.

These days I hate making the deuce. I find that I tend to make a lot of mistakes and blunders so apparently, for me, the position type is much more difficult to play than the position types which tend to occur after splitting.

So, now I only make the deuce if I am trailing and the score puts a premium on winning a G.
