Thanks for the interesting exercises Nack.

Here's my guesses with attempts to apply the rules of thumb above:

1. 6/4 6/5(2) - Guaranteed to not leave any immediate shots next roll and results in 2x spares on middish-points

2. 6/3 4/3 - Makes a 5 prime - albeit with some bad rolls afterwards. However, if he immediately rolls a 3, 4 or a 5, he busts his board

3. 6/4 6/5(2) - Don't hit the blot on the 3 which would help his timing esp. with his strong board. Doesn't leave any shots next roll and results in 2x spares on middish-points. Dupes his good 3's
