Ruling questions from Cyprus

I guess it depends on the stipulated rules. I am not a tourney director and I am only responding on a whim.
1- A cube is taken if it is taken and put on your side of the board. That would be my ruling. If what happened is actually allowed, it will probably become proper psychological strategy to do exactly that: Faux take the cube while trying to pick up any signs from the opponent, and or spectators.. the opponent may actually roll early in which case you could look at the dice and decide to then "pass" and just hit the clock and say you wanted to take. You could even call for a ruling on that which I guess you would win about half the time.
2- I thought you could do what you want during a match. I have never seen arule that states you must remain seated. If the pacing is somehow annoying.. maybe there could be a ruling that if the opponent wants to pace.. it must be more than X distance from the table. People walk around all the time. I was not aware of any rule that one must remain seated or "at the table" during the match. Pacing is really just walking.. so Cubed Player should focus on the cube and not worry about the anxious cuber.
It seems like there is bad blood between the plers.
