MAKE THE DAMN CLOCK RULE CUT AND DRY

Link to the video. Go to 3:37 in and go from there.
There are a some issues here. Roberto Gaui recubes to 4 in the position shown at the bottom of this post and forgets to hit his clock. After about a good minute + Roberto notices this and hits his clock. Rory had dropped in on the live stream and noticed this. Rory then wonders out loud "As a director should I go over there and add time to his clock..."
Answer
Players must immediately announce and rectify any instance where the game clock has been set incorrectly, is not paused when required or is running against the incorrect player
Now, there is the old question of "If he hasn't hit his clock has he really doubled? Dispute this all we want but it states again in the rules If a player touches the cube or makes any statement or gesture that reasonably implies an intention to double, then they must double at that time
Ultimately Rory intervened after the game and added the time back to Roberto's clock. Correct decision.
Rory did say when he got back on the stream that "he didn't know or care if Victor noticed". This is wrong. As it states in the rules:
Both players are obligated to immediately announce any instance when noticing thegame clock...is running against a player at a time when the clock is required to be paused or is running against the incorrect player....The TD should sanction any player who intentionally causes or fails to announce any such irregularity.
It didn't look to me as if Victor knew or noticed. He was busy counting checkers off (???) [hint for people playing backgammon, the best way to count checker off and make sure not make any mistakes is to count the checkers on the board and do that tough math] I like to think I always know or would always notice. Then again, I don't move until my opponent hits his clock so I would have alerted him immediately.
So Victor ended up getting a free ~1m 20s+ to think about the cube. Then, after the player hit his clock Victor thought for another 57s before taking. It's 7a 7a and he's looking at a recube in a gammonless common position. Victor has 7m 30s left when this decision starts and as mentioned by someone else always uses his delay to shake the dice. Why? No idea...perhaps to try to get yourself in time trouble. Maybe trying to onset that carpel tunnel as early as possible. I'm not sure what he's thinking about for so long as someone ranked #3 of the Giants list this should scream NEXT! It's ok to double check of course, but 2 minutes+!? Even Tardieu would have taken after a minute.
Side note to a pet peeve. I don't know who the announcers are but my peeve extends from watching poker. When something interesting is happening at the table, stfu so we can hear the audio. This is the best announcing an announcer can do.
