While I appreciate the comments others have made, I feel that my point is being missed. I’m not claiming Rory was incorrect in his decision. Based on the way the rule is written currently. My point is that the rule only works when the TD is watching. How often does that happen? In the vast majority of matches that clock might have run down 3 or 4 minutes. Then what? We try to guess how much time to put back on? Sound pretty subjective. Even yesterday the commentators disagreed with how much time ran off. One thought only 30 seconds.
