I hate giving up good points.

I've changed my mind a couple times already. Stick has freedom to extend his prime, and we take some of that away with the loose hit. That goes going against SvB, and the race is close, etc. But the race isn't gonna matter much if he makes a six prime, and maybe not even against a 5-prime.

Now which ace? 8/7 doesn't look right to me because once we make the acepoint we will want to get checkers off the 7-point. (Another way of thinking about this is that the 8-point is more valuable than the 7-point if he enters anywhere but the acepoint, so keep a spare there.) 24/23 does put a small bit of deterence on Stick's stripped 8-point. I'm playing that.

Summary: 6/1*, 24/23.
