Ray Glaeser lives in Ohio, I believe. (Or have you heard that he isn't coming.)

This kind of contest ought to be odds-based with the odds inversely to the number of players, at least.

E.g. Illinois has 10 players in the Open, Ohio 3, Indiana 2. Then Illinois pays Indiana 5::1, Ohio pays Indiana 3::2, Illinois pays Ohio 10:3.

Not a good bet for Indiana unless John's playing (and I'm 99% sure he's not), but that's the quality factor.
