The 'obvious' play is 6/3 4/3, but since we're aiming to clear points safely, it's worth considering plays that don't make a five-point board. Taking 4 checkers off with 1/off(4) seems reckless since it takes a significant risk of getting hit later and losing the game. Gaps lower in the board are generally more dangerous than gaps higher in the board, so I think the main alternative to 6/3 4/3 is 5/3(2), which blots with 65 62 52. After 6/3 4/3, the only blotting roll is 64, but it leaves 2 blots, and other rolls containing a 4 leave gaps in our board that could be a persistent liability. I'll try 5/3(2).
