I think they're asking about the 8/7 8/2 numbers specifically, and why we have positive money equity in the position when we're game underdogs.

I think the answer has to do with asymmetric cube efficiency. The usual way that White wins here is to hit a shot, then cash a game that is nearly gin. White's cube access is not worth much. But Blue is more likely to get a useful cube in, so we are money favorites in a (cubelessly) nearly equal position.
