According to an agreement with Paul for the whole book in Bulgarian and languages of former USSR I published in 1994 first 10 chapters of Backgammon in Bulgarian. I paid for my graphics generator more than for printing and preparing the book. I could not sell it well here but I overpaid Paul the agreed 7% of my actual sales of about 100 copies in Bulgaria and 20 copies in San Francisco. For those about 30 years I have worked on my book but never managed to publish the rest. 3 years ago I had the idea to self publish again the whole book as agreed with Paul, but completely overhauled with each position analysed or rolled out as needed. I already published first 10 chapters in a second edition and the Endgame Volume as volume 2 of Backgammon. I tried to find the additional reasons for a different evaluation of positions - knowledge not present then, means of research not present, or the author isolating a certain element of discussion and being unable to detect the noise of other elements at the time of writing. In fact Volume 2 was devoted to the AI role in improvement of BG understanding.
XG2 5000 rollouts split, but DMP and Uv (unlimited virgin) both prefer 8/7, 8/2. I thought 8/7, 8/2 gave 2 chances to catch a second blot, but GS and Ut - (unlimited taken) prefer 11/4. I have not reached writing Chapter 14 (I have written 26-29 and 12-13). I intend to follow suite and assume x22 intended to discuss DMP or Uv unless he specifically said otherwise. Magriel did not have a square for the cube because he did not need it. I had it in my 1994 edition as I used it some - I paid the creators of image production software and they did it. Now I use it extensively because I use it too much and present free software permits. Thanks to Xavier. Now BACKGAMMON will not be of mere historic value. It can be the fullest contemporary FIRST BOOK OF BACKGAMMON. It can stay as it is 100 copies in Bulgarian or more copies in English with additional positions discussed. It is X22 who first set foot on this land. We were friends. It's in the first volume and the volumes 2022 and 2023. Never mind errors of Magriel. All humans err. If we do it Magriel will live longer. I think so.
