I would play 5/off. Of course 4/1* 3/1 is a candidate, but most of White's 5's are awkward, forcing her to either break anchor or break her board, so I'd rather have her play her 5's than dance. On top of that, 4/1* 3/1 leaves us with spares on only one point, which is rather inflexible.

Another candidate is clearing the 6pt, which might be the DMP play, but must win fewer gammons, and when White has three checkers back and is vulnerable to getting attacked, I think we should be thinking about gammons and not just wins.
