Kirin point

Interesting to see "kirin" used as a backgammon term.
There are different spellings, the most common perhaps being Qilin. "Kirin" might be from Japanese romaji (phonetic convenience for English speakers).
This mythical beast often makes an appearance in ancient artwork, for example on the covers of Go magazines.
