I would get these wrong or right depending on which way the wind was blowing. Thanks for posting them.

I don't really have any factors to add after reading the other answers. But all I see is if you hit in the first one, ya got nuthin. Gained big in the race, but neither escaped a checker or built anything. In the second one, there's a good chance you escaped a checker while building on a race lead, took away his builder and initiative, and have good distribution.
