Your analysis is making the rebounds twice as valuable as they are. Like I said in the other post the opponent will be getting the ball back. You aren't actually taking a possession away from them, just delaying it.

Let's say team A gets the rebound. + 1 point on average for them before opponent get's the ball. Let's say team A does not get the rebound. + 0 point for them before opponent gets the ball.
