After either play White will have an equal chance of dancing while trying to enter against Blue's resulting 2-point board. But after 3/1*2/1, dance, White will be facing far longer odds to hit a subsequent shot before the game ends. Also, if White hits immediately with one of 11 good rolls after either play by Blue, she will have a better chance to hit a second checker down the road after 2/1*2/Off.
