To answer some questions: USBGF ruleset, legal moves, opponent is very much not a beginner, though may not have played more seriously than club events. I absolutely used one hand for the entire operation, and nothing happened very quickly because I didn't think the play was automatic.

I did not get into an argument with him, all I did was state that my actions were not illegal in response to his claim, and that was the end of it.

I'm never going to take offense at somebody nitpicking back at me. I have a habit of enforcing seemingly trivial rules, it really WOULD be hypocritical if I'm dishing it out but can't take it.

There was a lot less acrimony in this match than what some are inferring.

I have video of everything... when I get around to it, I will edit out an example of his incorrect order of operation and my 11 play.
