Hitting too risky?

If Blue hits with the ace, even if White is lucky enough to hit back from the bar she will still have four checkers stuck behind Blue's formidable, well-timed front structure. Tough for White to counter-prime, or prosecute a credible blitz attack on her side of the board, with no 5 point and only eleven checkers immediately available on offense. Sure, there is still some turnaround risk after a hit by Blue, but White's counter-attack will be necessarily hamstrung by the increasingly urgent need to escape a 4-prime barricade with her four stuck checkers. Blue's potential reward for bold play here is more gammons, given 4 opponent checkers back vs. 3. Seems to be worth the risk in this position.
