Only Ed O'Laughlin remains among the Americans in the final sixteen. Of the six Americans in the round of 64, Freedman, Chamanara, and O'Laughlin got to the round of 32 and only Ed made it to the final 16.

Martin Jensen's small-country funny at hattenbgk.dk: "Yesterday I noted that there were unfortunately only seven Danes who reached the last 64." Six advanced to the last 32, and three -- Michael Schou, Lars Trabolt and Karsten Nielsen -- reached the last 16.

And so 3 Danes, 2 French, 2 Norwegians, 2 Swedes, 1 American, 1 Israeli, 1 German, 1 Japanese, 1 Portuguese, 1 South African, and 1 United Kingdomite remain for your partisan rooting pleasure. May they all roll 5-4 in the bearoff and 6-2 from the bar.
