Why stop recording??

If the video is on tape, why not manually record from the video, even at this late stage ,and ask the players to help with the dice rolls? If it isn't on tape the person doing the recording should have been directed to the playing room and done the rest of it manually.

The staff Howard brought over for this event are all extremely competent. Howard is highly respected for organizing tournaments and has received high marks from me for most of the event I have attended. I am puzzled as to why there was no effort made to rectify the situation, or as has been mentioned, do simple testing before hand to make sure all is ok. The dice were difficult to read last year so all the more reason to take some precautions.
