BGO Plan for 2026

You asked for Feedback, so here is some.

Consider the past, current, and future participants. I see them roughly breaking into three groups:

a) Those no longer involved in backgammon. b) Those who were active here and are still playing but have gone dormant. (I include myself, obviously.) c) Those who have come into the game 'recently' but are unaware of or so far not interested in joining.

Is group (b) the low hanging fruit? Stick, is it easy to access (presumably stored/archived) email addresses and blast out an email? Since I've been inactive, the only reason I knew about this announcement is from Jason. I am going to participate again (e.g. I'll post a problem shortly). I and others here can contact a few who I/we think might be interested but word will travel in greater numbers the more who become aware of the situation. And this doesn't have to be a competition between Facebook and bgonline, either. In fact that might be a detriment, although in this contentious world it could happen, regardless.

Like many activities, the masses follow the leaders. IMO if you can get more 'big names' back here participating, others will become interested.
