There are a lot of OtB doubling algorithms (e.g. Woolsey, Robertie, O'Hagan, PRaT) to think about. None of those jumps out at me as giving a clear answer here, partly because I can't decide if making our 7-pt (12/36 rolls) loses the market (and if so, by much).

But this seems to fit nicely Marc Olsen's Point System on page 311 of Backgammon Master Class. We are strong in both racing and blitzing. (The third GP he uses is racing and that appears to be rather neutral.)

Jason and I have another thing we look at when ganging up on XG (9-pt matches). If one or the other is a big PR error, which is more likely? If doubling this is a mistake I don't think it can be wrong by much. I can't say the same for holding off.

Double.
