The race isn't lost but it's not looking good at the moment. The one time you have to pass the 20-pt holding game with a big race deficit before opp has cleared his midpoint is when he owns both the 7- and 8-points. Pretty sure then you just have to treat the position as a straight race, or something quite close.

The two conservative plays are 13/11, 8/7 and 13/10. I don't think this position calls for those.

5(2) is often right when owning 6-7-8. Let's keep that as an option.

13/11, 6/5 maintains the barpoint and tries for the 5-pt while unstacking. Some will say "but it strips the midpoint." True, but the value of the midpoint is reduced when owning the 20-pt. Admittedly it still has value, and note you aren't giving it up.

6/5, 6/4 is the all out "screw the race; I want a board now!" ploy.

Even 6/4, 8/7 has something going for it, but probably not enough.

I'm narrowing this down to 5(2) and 6/5, 13/11. Going through White's rolls it doesn't seem like keeping the barpoint adds much.
