Regarding Vlad bearing two checkers off his 6-pt with the 55 roll, I put the position into XG, with both the legal (forced) and illegal results. If Vlad had played it correctly Dirk's Match Winning Chances (assuming equal players) would have been 2.2%. With the actual result that dropped to 0.55% MWC.

The current rules state that even after a subsequent roll the players may correct, but only by mutual agreement. (That's from memory.)

Certainly this appeared to be an innocent mistake in the excitement of the moment and Dirk's action seem to confirm this hypothesis.
