8/5 fails to create a good deuce since 13/11 doesn't even come within direct range of a homboard blot after that half-move.

4/1 cleans up two blots. In conjunction with that either 8/6 or 13/11 gets into better position to make the 5-pt. With the 6-pt stripped, 8/6 doesn't give opp a direct shot.

I always wonder when it's right to get another checker sent back. 13/11 would facilitate that. If only you could guarantee entering the 24-pt...
