Who cares V ?

First question for me is "which defensive point do I want to keep?" "Both" is not in the picture, IMO. The 18-point is always difficult to clear when opp owns her midpoint but the 21-point, being even farther from home, is no picnic to clear either. So maybe the right approach is "given that I'm giving up one of those points this turn, what resulting distribution of checkers gives me the most power to improve my structure next turn?
The 10-point would be good to grab in the near future. Is 13/10, 18/16 the play? There is some duplication: combinations of {1,4,6} along with some deuces {21,26} if White is going to hit AND cover this turn. But I count 13 of those hit+covers so maybe this choice (with it's multiple blots) is too loose/bold.
21/18, 13/11 leaves only one blot in range, and combined with White's need to cover her homeboard blot only {42,22,11,44} (five rolls) pull that off.
18/15, 13/11 has similar issues to the 13/10, 18/16 candidate above.
18/13 is VTMP (voluntary too-many-points). I can't buy into that.
If I haven't missed any reasonable candidates then the choice has been made easy for me:
21/18, 13/11.
