Let's look at Blue's rolls and ask (as White) "am I glad I took this?"

PoH rolls that keep the 7-pt {65,64,54,62,52,42,22} -- 13 rolls. "No." PoH rolls that give up the 7-pt {23,33,43,53,63} -- 9 rolls. "If I enter and hit, obviously 'Yes' if I enter on the 24-pt, 'No', if I enter on the 23-pt, 'Maybe...'" Pick and pass rolls (21,41,51} plus 11 (shift on head) -- 7 rolls. "If I enter on the 21-pt, 'Yes', if I enter on the 23-pt 'Maybe', otherwise 'No'." Hit loose rolls {66,55,44,61,31} -- 7 rolls. "Only if I return hit."

A couple things White has going for her: 1) not likely to get gammoned whereas Blue could get gammoned, and 2) (from Magriel) "Four is more than you think." The pipcount lead has some value, but Blue seems to have the timing advantage (typical when behind in the pipcount) so White can't afford to stay trapped very long.

I'm not finding enough wins for White, although I do sometimes miss seeing the wiggle room (aka 'slime vig') that these positions contain. Plenty enough Woolsey Doubling Rule doubt to make this a Double.

D+P.
