Position of the Day 02-25-26

Some candidates:
3(2) -- a point Blue definitely wants to make, but leaves four blots and 14 hit+cover rolls {11,12,13,22,26,33,35,36,44} plus quite a few double hits (55 being the only roll I can find which hits nothing, and still not a terrible roll). Giving up the 8-pt allows White some easy 6x rolls (now and in the future) which otherwise can be difficult to play.
18/15, 13/8 -- no blots but does make a point far from home which often won't be easy to clear.
18/13, 6/3 -- looks clever; doesn't leave many hit+cover rolls. However, it makes a point which will be quite difficult to clear -- the 13-pt. Besides, White will gladly(?) hit on Blue's 3-pt with an ace. White does have quite a few non-palatable rolls.
10(2) -- big plus in that only one checker has a long road home. {11,12,22,26,33,36} -- 9 rolls hit and cover (although 11 may be better played by making the 22-pt). White's aces (other than 11) can't both hit and start Blue's desirable 3-pt.
The no blot candidate doesn't give White much to play this turn and isn't likely to leave more than one blot next turn. White probably won't be ready to hit that blot then anyway. QF says this isn't best, but OtB (without anybody tapping me on the shoulder) I'm choosing to dare White to find a play immediately with spares only on one big stack and points that are dangerous to break.
18/15, 13/8.
