For sure we'd like to prevent White from making her 20-pt, but how that is best accomplished and more importantly whether it's worth the collateral damage that effort could cause seems like the bigger question.

Hitting loose on the 5-pt doesn't guarantee that White won't make it, nor does covering the 3-pt concede it, either.

After 9/3, White gets 16 good rolls -- 13 of which make her 20-pt and the others {13,11} putting one on the rail leaving only indirect returns.

6/5* (with either 16/11 or 21/16, preferably the latter for some badly needed outfield control) offers White 20 hits in Blue's homeboard. {11} is also good similarly to getting that roll after Blue plays 9/3. Nine fans are obviously her worst (but there were 16 of those after the covering play).

As I think more about this problem, it seems outfield control is key. If Blue covers the 3-pt White has 13 rolls to take control of both. 6/5*, 21/16 at least ceases one of those for Blue with some chance of garnering the other.
