Look at all the books published about chess! BG has a very long way to catching up to them. There's still plenty of room on the BG-bookshelves.

One difference I see between learning backgammon and learning chess, at the serious level, is that chess players are ingrained from early on that learning through reading is important. When I learned to play contract bridge in the 70's, that was the case there, too. Take a look at this site: https://tinyurl.com/bde35k7t where they have over 600 titles in stock. AFAIK, in the USA anyway, the only comparable book sellers (not counting Amazon) are out of spare bedrooms, with maybe 5-10% that many titles available.

I don't say this to discourage anyone, but rather to temper expectations. You two have both published books, Stick more recently. How many copies have sold for each of you?

It seems to me that somehow the backgammon 'audience' has to realize the value in learning thru reading if writing BG books is more than a side gig 'labor of love'.
