I see the loose hit and at least four plays that don't hit. Interesting that whether Blue chooses the hit or not, {61,62,63} by White all leave Blue at least one direct shot. Given Blue's multitude of checkers outside the homeboard, however, 6/3* appears to have the potential of more gammon losses.
Robertie says that when owning the cube, you don't have to go all out for the Home Run (my words). Mickey Mantle hits loose; Pete Rose chooses an alternative. :) Slowly working your way towards a cube can be the better GP, especially when gammon losses are in the picture.
Of the non-hitting plays, however, minimizing shots may not be best. Look at White's upcoming 44 roll. Cleverly playing 13/11 to hold the shots down to 3 also allows her to cover the deuce-pt with that joker. Avoiding that narrows the choices down to 13/10 and 13/12, 6/3.
Of those two, I can't find much advantage of one over the other in regards to upcoming hits or point-makers. However, reconsidering 13/11, 13/12 makes 45 a prime closing roll which doesn't duplicate Blue's homeboard PoH rolls -- {65,63} being relevant, and maybe a few others. Magriel says (paraphrased) "don't worry about a 35::1 shot unless there's nothing else to be concerned with. So I risk White's 44 joker with:
13/12, 13/11.
