Doubles teammates?

Typically the ABT brackets for doubles show the team partnerships at the bottom of the page, labeled as a 'qualifier' bracket. It seems weird but the system that is used was built for singles and so far it hasn't been tweaked to accomodate doubles.

Another thing not quite in focus on the USBGF system is when a field isn't a power of two and the bracket is posted into groups of 8, etc. -- e.g. 24 player field. It always appears that a subgroup gets a bye or antibye but usually there is a draw of the 'semifinalists' and then any equity adjusted payout algorithm applied. At least that's my understanding from seeing many of these.
