I like to start with my first impression of who has the easier cube decision. Here I think that's White's Take. Thus the pressure is on Blue to decide to send it.

I'll start with PRaTGFW. White actually leads in position (owning 5 points vs. Blue's 4), Blue obviously has fewer pips (the size of this will be a plus for White if a backgame develops, but I don't count that), Blue's threats are clear with White already on the bar and his many builders aimed at key HB points. Blue clearly has the advantage in gammon wins; edge to Blue in flexibility, and to White in wastage (Blue's acept blot). 4::2 advantage for Blue.

Woolsey? I'm not passing so move on to another RoT. Robertie? Blue rolls 61 (making the 5-pt and White rolls 54 -- 25/21, 13/8? Will White have a Take next turn after this sequence? Tough decision, IMO, leaning towards a Pass since the second anchor hasn't been established and Blue is pulling Big Bertha out of the golf bag. Just too many gammon losses.

Then there's our active poster JOH's method: {55,53,33,66} for starters, anything that makes the 5-pt plus the PPC ("Pick, Pass, Cover") rolls when White doesn't anchor. Making the 4-pt is good, too. White will have to perform next turn, meaning either hitting on her 24-pt or making the second anchor to keep Blue from losing the market.

The consensus for doubling has been established. Should I reconsider the Take? White's glass has got to be at least half full, right? May not be the easier decision as I first thought, but still seems like too wussy to pass this.
