Another problem with only two reasonable candidate plays? Looks like it to me. 15/8 but do you hit in the process?

Hitting should lead to more gammons. Do you get at least two gammon wins for every loss generated? (That assumes you lose more by hitting, which isn't a gimme. If not then it's a win+win decision.)

White's board isn't too scary -- acept (and inefficient 7-pt) made with very little chance of making the 6-blocking 8-pt and only a small(?) chance of completing the closeout. Meanwhile three checkers behind a solid 5-prime is the other detriment to White's GWC when Blue hits. I'm hitting:
