Blue, on roll, needs 14 crossovers. White needs 45 pips (plus a bearoff crossover). An article in Inside Backgammon years ago addressed this kind of situation. If I remember correctly (don't hold your breath) this is close to a tossup. Here, if White gets an ace shot and hits she still may have an uncovered blot on her 5-pt.

With the history of bots scolding us for not playing aggressively for gammons, I'm ripping:
