...for winning the 2026 Chicago Open Championship Main, a Swiss formatted event comprised of 79 players. John was the last man(/woman) standing with 2 or fewer losses. Three players reached a record of 9-2, with John getting a subsequent bye where the other two players were appropriately compensated. Anthony Niakiani of San Diego, CA defeated Michael Flohr of Bloomingin, IL in the non-bye round, earning a single elimination 9-point match vs. John in the final.
