If you gave the user the option of setting thresholds on the difference between 1st and 2nd best plays or size of error on cubes, this would allow tailoring the session to player skill.

E.g. (0.02,0.06) would indicate to GNUbg to choose plays (or cubes) with potential errors in this zone. In the case of checkerplays the user might still choose a play above this 0.06 upper threshold.
