I'm sure I don't want to allow White an easy chance to make my 5-pt so I start with 13/5*. Now it's between hitting a second checker (22/14*, yes, that one :) and simply making the 5-pt.

Given White currently leads in homeboard strength, I'd rather even up that score and hold a modest race lead than leave a direct shot and weaker homeboard for a bigger (transient?) race lead:

13/5*(2).
