There's a lot of room for bravery here: Blue redoubling now, White beavering if that happens, and White playing on after a Blue fan if owning the cube. Often with opportunities of bravery come opportunities for hopping on the blunder bus. I doubt all three of these options avoids that pitfall.

I think passing would be horrendously bad. After that, though? I'm confident that OtB I'd hold the cube, being able to play on when hitting and otherwise hoping for a reprieve with the cube safely on my side at 2.

Finally, how does Blue play 42 here? It looks like double hitting is worth it, regardless of cube location. Even if White return hits (other than with 55) the player on roll will be a 59% favorite to enter one before the opponent enters two.
