Thanks, John. I'd rather make that mistake here than OtB in a meaningful match, but I'm pretty sure I have done exactly this before, not that I can remember it. Here's another try.
If White takes she'll have a cashpoint (cube going 2 --> 4) of 60% cGWC. I recall Woolsey saying the realistic redoubling point is 50% or above, typically. Pass for 33% MWC, take and win for 60%, take and lose simple for 18.6% :), take and lose gammon for the match. I'm prorating the loss to 10% MWC, so in percent units, risk (33 - 10) out of an available (60 - 10) ~23/50 or 46% with no recube vig. 60% of that being ~27.5% with perfect cube efficiency. Interpolating for 70% cube efficiency gives a takepoint around 33% cGWC.
Does White have that? Now I'm going with intuition -- I think it's close but I would choose the Take path here.
Is it a double? The doubling window tends to be tight at this score for the leader when there are gammon wins in the air, and that's the case here. Maybe Woolsey's Doubling Rule overrides this concern, but I'm holding off.
N+T.
