I think not hitting is better for winning the gammon. If true, could hitting possibly be (enough) better for the BG win to make it right?

If Blue hits and White fans, what rolls still leave an exposed blot next turn? I see {66,55,65,62}.

I think there is a hyperpip formula in Kleinman's Vision... book for four checkers on the bar, but it's such a rare issue that only the most mathematical players (with really good memories to boot) would even know it OtB. Start with Art and go from there.

I'm following Rob Maier's cynical advice: the cute play is usually wrong.
