Sam Pottle is ringing and although I'm not picking up I think I know what he wants me to play: 24/18, 13/7(3). The race lead argues for that but it looks like there is so much to do after this, whether we get hit or not.

5(2) looks really good. 2(2) not so much. We all know how valuable the solid 4-prime 5-pt to 8-pt is. Make the solid block and close our eyes? Maybe our blots get missed or maybe we regroup after getting hit. But thinking a bit longer (mistake?), even if the midpoint blot gets missed the back checker has quite the outfield gauntlet to survive.

Sometimes awkward structure (and minimization of blots) is right.
