Version 0.90, the latest release on gnubg.org, tends to hang too often. Sometimes I have to close the window (and lose the rollout it was performing), other times it will go through a series of flashing like it's trying to bring up the window and *unstick*. This could very well be Vista's fault.
Not sure, but probably yes. A few users reported problems with Vista, we rarely got the same complaints when people worked on WinXP.
Next, the fuckin' window resizes all the damn time. Eg, I open GNU, it opens full screen. I select a new game or new match, and when the first roll pops out POOF! the screen squishes all the fuck up again. If you remaximize it it will stay maximized (most of the time) until you start another game. Annoying.
Please send a bug report to the mailinglist (subscribe here http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gnubg before if you didn't already). Mostly you'll also find some extra output in the commandline window. I would be nice if you can save and attach it.
WHERE ARE THE IMPORT/EXPORT BUTTONS? It's not just that the buttons are missing, it seems the options are completely missing??
The f...ine import/export buttons are hidden in "open" and "save" now. You may select a certain file type and extension then.
I've encountered, though I do think Daniel also noted in some cases you can't stop & restart a rollout without it replaying exactly what has already been rolled out.
The reason for this is already found (http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnubg/2008-07/msg00013.html) but I don't know yet whether it's fixed meanwhile or not.
Ciao
Achim
PS. I also have a Vista here, I'll try to spend more time using gnubg on it.
