I saw a reply last night and they (as is done live, also) showed a green line with the previous WR. Yes, not every team beat the previous WR.

But the WR had just been set in the prelims by the US team, I believe. I think what I was possibly relating is that all teams in the final swam faster than the WR which existed prior to the 2008 Olympics beginning. (Though maybe that is not even true....)
