Mike beat me 11-6. He did end it with a nice set of boxes, but I was a slight dog in the race anyhow and down 10C-6.

The first part of the match went back and forth and with me, in the games I won, rolling terribly awkwardly bringing positions home against Mike's holding games. Fortunately Mike missed most of those shots. In the later half of the match, he simply blew me away with lots of doubles, either in races or to attack me if I made an early split. After I shook his hand, Mike, in a most gentlemanly manner, appologized for having such easy dice to play, while I had to struggle over lots of awkward numbers.

The next morning I was back in the money round of the conso, and lead 7-5 to 9, but then Pekto backgamed me to death with two huge backgames holding my 5,4,3 pts.
