Re 63, 13/4* starts a good inner-board point, unstacks the midpoint, and creates some bad replies. That's enough to make it right, because alternatives Really Stink [TM].

Re 43, I don't like weenie plays (24/20 24/21, or 24/20 6/3), and I'm almost indifferent between the two hit-and-split plays. 13/9 8/5* is interesting because it duplicates 5's to hit, but given White's high probability of hitting or anchoring, I don't think bringing down a builder gains as much as splitting.

With 43, I don't hit twice because I hate to give up the 8 point. With 21 or 32 I hit twice in a second.
