In Response To: BARRED IN FLORIDA (Coolrey)

When a person volunteers to buy dinner or some specified portion of dinner for a group, I see two reasonable responses:

1. Politely accept

2. Politely decline

A response that implies that the specifics of a person's generosity are not appreciated strikes me as inappropriate.
