Thank you Bob. It should read, at least while London players are getting used to it, 15 seconds. I’ve now amended it. Oh well, so much for sticking to the US Clock Rules! But I’d rather London players ask me to bring it down instead of me pressurising them into accepting what to many is a new fangled and therefore unnerving way of doing things.

15 secs / 1.5 mins is what I’m calling a “TV Friendly Time Control.” It’s far too fast to expect your average player to play well (or even comfortably) in but for keeping a TV show interesting and making contestants slap their own face in preparation – yup, it does that!
