Barring Players from ABT Events

Hey guys,
Tournaments should be like restaurants: We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. I mouth off too much, but I balance that by doing some good things for the ABT also. I am okay with being barred, but thought I ought to warn people in advance. Thanks for this thread you guys.
Neil: An intelligent discussion with Elayne is not possible. I have been called nasty, mean, evil and an ass-hole in 4 emails from her. Fu*k her tournament! You go.
One guy complained to Elayne while she was doing the main draw sheet out in the lobby. Apparently he contended that he had paid something, (an entry fee perhaps?), Elayne YELLED at the guy... Saying he DID NOT pay her and that was IT. Her son, (the poor guy, what a conflict of interest he had!), gave the guy a look like... That will be the END of this discussion!
That guy wandered off muttering epletives in Spanish. Who was right? I certainly do not know. How many entry fees was JOSE responsible for, and how many was Elayne? I do know this much: I sent a duplicate check for $500 as a deposit to EF for this tournament, and had to email her to find out if she received it. She said she was planning to email me but had been too busy. Was she also too busy to write it down when this guy paid her?
ABT players: Send EF a duplicate check so you have some proof you paid your entry fee. I don't remember getting a receipt, do you?
One time I sent Howard Markowitz a check for all entry fees. $1500, and got 150 credit as a deposit. I went to Howard and explained and he gave me the benefit of the doubt, even though I didn't have my check book to "prove" it. I was able to verify it when I got home.
The customer was right in Vegas.
He does not have that luxury in Florida, and probaby not Baltimore...
