Obviously we're covering the 5-point but we have a choice. Looking around for moves that use the non-covering die: 24/23, 13/10, x/5 (i.e. move both to 5-point).

Even though Stick has a spare on his 8-point I feel this is a good time to split the back checkers. Right now the hb's are equal in strength. Splitting after opp has made a second hb point is thematic. At this score, obviously we want to avoid losing a (doubled) G. Splitting can sometimes bring the G into the picture but so can camping on the 24-point. We're splitting to a point he'd rather not make immediately although I'm sure he'll take it if the roll dictates.
