BARRED IN FLORIDA

I second the thoughts of everyone who urges calm discussion and compromise. A neighbor once initiated a border dispute and exhibited angry irrationality. If the wife and I had butted heads with this neighbor, a feud might have resulted. Instead, we calmly discussed and offered a compromise, and it was proved that his idea of the border was incorrect, though about one aspect of the dispute he was right. An acceptable compromise was reached, and though relations aren't warm (we don't have a lot in common with these folks anyway), they're neighborly enough for me.

I can't believe Ray would have acted anything like this steaming neighbor first did. Ray may be a barbarian, but he's not a howling barbarian 8-). I don't know Elayne, but I suspect she wouldn't have acted that way either. So there must be room for an acceptable solution that doesn't have to be arbitrated by a quorum of the ABT Board--which would yet have to be formed.
